App: Quid — Bill & Paycheck Tracker
Developer: A4SECURE
Last updated: October 18, 2026

Overview

Quid is a personal finance app for tracking bills, paychecks and credit accounts. This policy explains what information Quid handles, where it goes, and how you can delete it. Quid is currently in testing on Google Play.

1. Data stored on your device

Everything you enter is stored on your device. The only copy that leaves it is the optional Google Drive backup in section 3, which goes to your own Google Drive.

  • Bills (names, amounts, due dates, categories, whether you marked a bill as one you could lower, the months you marked them paid, with the date, and the amount and date of any part you set aside or paid)
  • Paychecks (amounts, pay frequency, next payday)
  • Credit cards and loans (balances, interest rates, minimum payments, and credit limits if you add them)
  • One-off payments you log (name, amount, date and which paycheck paid them)
  • Settings, theme, avatar and Budget Score history
  • Your account name and email address

A4SECURE does not operate servers and never receives this data.

2. Accounts and passwords

  • Email and password: the account exists only on your device. Quid never stores your password. It keeps a salted hash of it in your device's secure storage (Android Keystore).
  • Google Sign-In (optional): handled by Google. Quid receives your name, email address, Google account ID and profile photo link, and keeps them on your device to show your profile. Google's Privacy Policy applies to the sign-in itself.
  • Biometric login: uses your device's fingerprint or face unlock. Quid never has access to your biometric data.

3. Google Drive backup (optional)

If you sign in with Google or connect Google Drive, Quid backs up your data to a hidden app-data folder in your own Google Drive. It uses Google's drive.appdata permission.

  • What's backed up: bills, paychecks, credit lines, one-off payments, settings, avatar, theme and Budget Score history.
  • What's never backed up: passwords, password hashes, sign-in details and purchase records.
  • Who can access it: only Quid can open this folder. Quid cannot see your other Drive files, and A4SECURE cannot access your backup.
  • How it's sent: over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The backup is stored by Google under Google's terms.
  • How to stop it: turn automatic backup off in Settings → Backup.

Your Google data is never used for ads, never sold, and never used to train AI models.

Quid's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Advertising (free version)

The free version shows a banner ad provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, the AdMob SDK collects and sends to Google:

  • your device's advertising ID
  • your IP address, which can indicate approximate location
  • ad interactions, such as views and taps
  • basic device and app information, such as model, OS version and app version

Ads may be personalized. You can opt out of personalized ads, or reset or delete your advertising ID, in Android Settings → Google → Ads (or Privacy → Ads). For how Google uses this data, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Quid itself does not receive this data, and Quid's financial data is never shared with AdMob. Buying Premium removes ads.

5. In-app purchase (Premium)

Premium is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles payment, and A4SECURE never receives your card or payment details.

Quid receives only what it needs to unlock Premium and restore it on a new device: the product ID, the purchase status, and the purchase token and order details that Google Play returns. These stay on your device.

6. Notifications

Bill reminders are scheduled locally on your device from the due dates you enter. Nothing about them is sent anywhere. On payday, Quid can show what's left after the bills paid from that paycheck. This is worked out and scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent anywhere. Payday amounts are hidden on the lock screen unless you turn them on in Settings. Quid asks for notification permission after you first add a bill or a paycheck, or when you turn reminders on. You can change this at any time in Android Settings.

7. Diagnostics

Quid keeps a short troubleshooting log on your device covering sign-in, purchase, update and backup events. It never contains passwords, password hashes or access tokens. The log is shared only if you copy it and send it to us yourself.

8. Deleting your data

Step-by-step instructions: Delete your Quid account and data.

  • In the app: Settings → Delete Account permanently removes all of Quid's data from your device, including password hashes, and deletes your Google Drive backup.
  • In Google Drive: open Google Drive → Settings → Manage apps → Quid → Delete hidden app data. To remove Quid's access to your Google account, go to myaccount.google.com/connections.
  • Uninstalling Quid removes all data stored on your device. A Drive backup stays until you delete it as described above.
  • Advertising ID: reset or delete it in Android Settings, as described in section 4.

9. Children's privacy

Quid is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
